Millennial Corps: Young Lawyers Assistance

The Legal System from a Millennial View

It’s not uncommon to see something about millennials in the news. Whether they’re changing the way  an industry functions, addicted to their phones, or obsessing over their avocado toast, millenials are on the mind today. That’s why we want to focus on helping them.

Millennials make up much of the twenty to thirty-year-old demographic today, meaning that many of you are finishing up your studies and on your way to becoming lawyers, or you’re just starting out on your journey as a millennial lawyer.

While this is an exciting time to be a young, up-and-coming attorney, it also means that you’re dealing with unique challenges that are different from older, well-established attorneys. That’s why we want to focus on providing more information for you.

The MCYLA is focused on providing the legal resources young lawyers need as they start their career. That way, you know you have a team on your side to help you prepare for a full legal career.

Information for Legal Students

For younger millennials, you may still be neck-deep in papers, practice legal cases, and studies on your important topics. That means you’ll need help getting the information you need to pass those tests and study the right way.

Often, understanding legal terms can be complex, even for a law student. That’s why we provide specific definitions to complex legal terms, including examples to help you better understand and not forget.

For example, you’ve likely heard the term “respondeat superior.” You may even know that it generally means “liability for employees falls on the employer.” However, you may not know how that applies in a real-life situation. We can help you get the answers you need when you’re struggling to pass those exams and get your degree.

A Reference for Current Lawyers

Even if you’re already a practicing attorney, there’s still something for you here. While we all need a refresher, even on terms we’re familiar with, you may also need to keep up-to-date with the legal changes that you’ll need to know.

For example, marijuana laws are changing across the country, and staying on top of these changes can help your practice grow.

As such, we can help you keep up with the latest law news you’ll need to know. We know how tough it can be to catch up to the news when you’re getting your practice started, so check out our regular updates for the information young lawyers need for their practice.
